A Cultural Debut: Beyond the Boardroom Launches from Singapore

By BTB Editorial

An electric evening united the most influential voices across business and culture, marking the arrival of a bold new platform built to decode where the two converge.

On Wednesday, 10 September, Singapore’s creative and corporate leaders came together for something special: the launch of Beyond the Boardroom, born from the joint vision of Media Publishares and RSVP Agency. The energy was absolutely electric as the most compelling voices across advertising, marketing, branding, art, music, media, design, food, and culture gathered to celebrate what the platform believes is the future—culture and business working in perfect harmony.

Co-Founder Michael von Schlippe (pictured first below), also President of Media Publishares, opened the evening with a presentation that laid out exactly what Beyond the Boardroom is building and how it fits within Media Publishares’ expanding vision. Then Co-founder Bettina von Schlippe (pictured second), Vice President of Business Development & Innovation for Media Publishares and Publisher-at-Large for Vogue Singapore, alongside Editorial Director Rahat Kapur (pictured third), took the stage to unveil what the team has been working on: the brand new Beyond the Boardroom publication website.

Their presentation captured the heart of why the platform exists, tracing how content has evolved, making the case for culture as the new KPI, and showing why brands simply can’t ignore macrosocial expectations anymore. Relevance, responsibility, and resonance aren’t just industry buzzwords to the BTB team, they’re the fundamental pillars of how business should work today across Asia-Pacific, Middle East and globally.

Beyond the Boardroom partnered with Saison Aperitifs for the evening’s drinks, the innovative Melbourne-born brand founded by chef and “bitter-drinks enthusiast” Dave Verheul. Saison captures seasonal authenticity through carefully chosen ingredients—wild herbs from small growers, foraged botanicals, and flavours that feel genuinely crafted, bright and honest without any artificial shortcuts.

Guests also received thoughtful keepsakes: handcrafted leather luggage tags from Coach, the iconic American leather goods house known for its 80-year heritage of superior craftsmanship, courtesy of Tapestry, and hand-cut BTB logo cookies by Queen by Ekta, considered touches that elevated the event.

The evening was a genuine celebration of the belief that business and culture aren’t just compatible, they’re transformative together. The team couldn’t think of a better way to introduce the platform to the world, or a more exciting start to everything planned next.
